Visit spectacular Mount Montserrat & explore the Cava country of Catalonia
On this shore excursion you will discover all the interesting points in & around the national park of Mount Montserrat and you will learn the interesting history behind this magnificent site. Cava is the Catalan version of the French Champagne.  It is Catalonia's national drink and a favorite wine.  On this tour you will learn the secrets and discover step by step how this popular drink is being produced.  You will also have a chance to sample the Cava.  We aim to visit the site of Montserrat during the time of the boys' choir performance - if available on the day of visit.  At Mount Montserrat you can choose whether you want to take the funicular railway, visit the impressive Basilica and the 'Black Madonna', listen to the boys' choir if they perform, do some walking on your own, shop for local cheese & jam, or just take in the amazing views.
Note that we can take you to anywhere you wish to go within the city at the end of the tour, be it back to your ship, your flat, your hotel or even the airport to catch your flight! So if you have luggage with you and you want to be dropped off at a specific place - just let us know in advance. Anything is possible with advance notice.
